The course focuses on learning how to paint a realistically looking portrait using oil paints. Its purpose is to provide you with knowledge of human skin tones, facial structure, and the unique characteristics of a model, all expressed through oil painting. In this course, you'll gain experience drawing a live model. We will start with quick preliminary sketches done with either a pencil or a charcoal to study the facial anatomy. Then we will paint with the oil paints, based on what we’ve discovered about the specific model.
As a participant in the course, you will:
Realistic portrait - summer is intended for those who may have drawn portraits in other techniques before, but not in oils. Also, for people who have never drawn a portrait before.
You need to bring your own materials (pencils, charcoals, oil paints, brushes, palette, etc.). The teacher provides a list of materials via email before the course. You also need to wear old clothes when painting. Please note that the course is conducted in English, and model cost will be calculated separately.
