Welcome to FOF København. As the country’s largest evening school, we offer a wide variety of leisure activities: ranging from language classes, family activities, cooking and fitness courses, music and singing lessons, creative courses and many more.

Whether you have just moved to the city or lived here for a while, FOF København welcomes all. Although most of our activities and classes are taught in Danish, we also have many courses and workshops in English.

We organize courses, workshops, lectures, and tours throughout the greater area of Copenhagen. This includes Copenhagen, Frederiksberg, Tårnby, Dragør, Lyngby-Taarbæk, Rudersdal, Gladsaxe, and Gentofte. You can therefor easily find an activity near you.

Evening schools are organized as informal education centers for adults.
FOF København is part of FOF, which is Denmark’s largest provider of adult education with a wide variety of classes and cultural events across the country.

Adult education focuses on lifelong learning with the ambition to learn not only more about ourselves but also the world surrounding us. You learn by choice, not out of obligation. This enables you to delve deeper into the subjects that really interest you.

At FOF København, you gain knowledge and socialize with others who perhaps share same interests as you. The cornerstones of our education programs are personal development, improved quality of life, specialized knowledge, and a better foundation for active participation in society.

If a course on this website is described in English, then you can be sure that the class will be taught in English. You are welcome to sign up without contacting us in advance.

All of the other activities are conducted in Danish. If you are an English speaker and would like to sign up for a course in Danish, or if you speak very little Danish, please contact the instructor directly or contact the administration by email at adm@fofkbh.dk or by telephone at +45 4596 0100 before registering. This way we can ensure that you will get the most out the course as possible.

Registration for courses is done via our website and is in Danish. If you need assistance with enrolment, you are welcome to contact us.

Moving to a foreign country and adjusting to a new city can be difficult. It's not only important to settle in at the new job - it's also important that leisure activities and family life is functioning. We can help you offer your employees leisure activities in English that will help them, and their families get off to a good start in their new city. We offer a list of courses ranging from English on business level, music lessons, family activities to city walks and wine lectures.

Evening school is not just for adults. FOF København also aims to offer activities and workshops for children as well as for children with their parents. We welcome all generations and backgrounds.

Our courses have 2-25 participants. Many courses run for six months with one class per week. We also organise shorter courses, weekend workshops, and one-day events. On each individual course listing you can read about how the teaching is organised.

At FOF København, you learn by choice and not out of obligation. For this reason, we do not hold exams or issue course certificates.
