Among the popular items in a bento is onigiri, savory rice balls with various seasonings or fillings. Recently, onigiri has gained popularity outside of Japan, contributing to the global fascination with Japanese gastronomy.

If you've wanted to try making your own bento, now's the perfect time to experience this fun food journey with an experienced Japanese instructor! Your instructor will provide insights into the cultural significance of bento and reveal its crucial role in the everyday life in Japan.

Bento Box is designed for anyone intrigued by Japanese cuisine and eager to expand their culinary horizons. No prior knowledge is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm. Please note that the recipes are customized by the instructor with local ingredients, making it easier to try at home. This course may not be suitable for those seeking the most authentic Japanese recipes and for vegans.

Practical Information

The course is conducted in English, and all ingredients are included in the price. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage if you'd like. Don’t forget to bring your own container for your bento creation. Any container can serve as a bento box, even IKEA containers!
