Ramen has become a popular Japanese dish worldwide, which continues to amaze your instructor, a native of Japan. While she has enjoyed making instant ramen with homemade toppings, she has now developed a recipe that doesn’t rely on instant noodles. If you've been wanting to create authentic ramen beyond instant variety, now is the perfect opportunity!

In this course, you’ll learn essential techniques and principles — and by the end, you’ll have crafted and enjoyed two delicious ramen flavors. You'll master the art of creating two flavorful types of ramen: Pork Broth Soy Sauce and Miso. Alongside the ramen, you'll also prepare a few small side dishes with an emphasis on balancing flavors. Throughout the course, you’ll also gain valuable insights into Japanese food culture and ingredients.

As a participant in this course, you will:

  • learn to make ramen from scratch, without relying on instant noodles.
  • master techniques and principles for authentic ramen.
  • create two flavorful ramen varieties and a few small side dishes.
  • gain hands-on experience in cooking and refining your ramen-making skills.
  • learn about Japan’s food culture.

Ramen with Two Flavors is designed for anyone who loves ramen and is eager to learn how to cook it. No prior experience is necessary – just bring your enthusiasm.

Practical Information

Please note that the instructor has adapted the recipes using local ingredients, making it easier for you to recreate them at home. As a result, this course may not be ideal for you if you are seeking traditional Japanese recipes. If you are vegetarian or vegan, please contact the instructor in advance to discuss possible alternatives. The course is conducted in english.
