A French Christmas Dinner

A French Christmas dinner is like a symphony of flavors and traditions, bringing warmth and joy.

This course aims to provide you with the opportunity to discover a typical French Christmas meal, which you can recreate at home to impress your guests. You will acquire the skills to prepare a traditional French Christmas starter, main course, and dessert. At the beginning of each class, the instructor will introduce the dish you will be preparing and, if applicable, share some interesting or fun facts. Then, you will move on to the cooking, with the instructor supervising and answering any questions. Finally, we will all enjoy tasting the delicious food together.

As a participant in this course, you will:

  • go home after each class with recipes for a French Christmas dinner and new cooking techniques.
  • learn the French food culture, including how and when they like to eat.
  • discover many other aspects of French food culture and the French way of appreciating and sharing food.

Requirements for the Course

A French Christmas Dinner welcomes beginners and intermediates. Our purpose is not to create French gastronomic food, but to introduce you to what French people typically eat for Christmas. Many of the techniques are quite simple, with special ingredients being the key to these dishes. Some of the desserts and pastries might be a bit tricky to make, but don’t worry. With guidance of the instructor, who will share some insider tips and tricks, everyone will be able to succeed.

Practical Information

The course will be conducted in English.

Growing up in France with a mom that likes to make everything from scratch, I quickly started to experiment by myself and develop a passion for cooking. From starters, to main courses, but also desserts and pastry, I am always eager to try new flavors. In my country, food is not only about eating: it is a real moment we all share together, and that is why I love it!

While working as a family entertainer and consultant in France for 2 years, I was proposing cooking classes for elderly people, but also children.

Currently, I work in Denmark for FoodComa, where I prepare wonderful grazing tables ; and at Pandekager Kompagniet where I cook delicious french crepes for both private and company events.

I also propose some private cooking for busy families who do not have time to spend hours in the kitchen but still want their members to enjoy homemade nutritious food !
