Kimbap Korean Roll

Kimbap Korean Roll

Have you ever seen kimbap? It looks like sushi rolls but has its own distinct characteristics. Kimbap is a traditional Korean dish made by wrapping cooked rice with vegetables and either fish or meat in seaweed.

While it shares similar techniques with Japanese sushi rolls - such as using a rolling mat and seaweed - kimbap does not use vinegared rice and typically incorporates sesame oil. Additionally, it often features a greater variety of ingredients than sushi rolls and does not contain raw fish. If raw fish isn’t your favorite, kimbap might be the perfect dish for you to explore!

As a participant in this course, you will:

  •  learn the techniques to make kimbap rolls.
  • learn to make complementary side dishes that enhance the flavor balance.
  • gain insights into the unique ingredients used in kimbap making.
